Jambi Mine Mouth Power Plant, Indonesia

The Jambi Mine Mouth Power Plant is 1,200MW coal fired power project. It is planned in Jambi, Indonesia. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.

Description

The project is being developed by Korea Southern Power, PT PP Energi and PT. Indonesia Power. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.

It is a steam turbine power plant.

The thermal power project will consists of 4 turbines each with 300 MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2022.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the Jambi Mine Mouth Power Plant (Jambi Mine Mouth Power Plant Phase II) will be sold to China Huadian under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Korea Southern Power is expected to perform operations and maintenance for thermal power project.

PT. Indonesia Power (Indonesia Power), a subsidiary of PT PLN (Persero) that generates and supplies electricity; and offers operational and maintenance services.
