Jatoba, Brazil

Jatoba is a 2,338MW hydro power project. It is planned on Tapajos/Jamanxim river/basin in Tocantins, Brazil. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2027 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2031.

Description

The gross head and net head of the project will be 66m and 15.8m respectively. The project cost is expected to be around $6,437.613m.

The hydro power project consists of 40 units of bulb turbines.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2027. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2031.
