Description

The project was developed by Energia Andina and SunEdison. The project is currently owned by Atlas Renewable Energy Chile with a stake of 100%.

Javiera Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 180 hectares.

The project generates 179GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 72,800 households. The project cost is $160m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Minera Los Pelambres under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2015.

Contractors Involved

SunEdison was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 231,074 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from Ingeteam Corporacion for the project.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.

SMA Solar Technology is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project, commencing from the year 2017.
