Description
The project was developed by Siemens and is currently owned by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel.
The project cost is $400.148m.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 173MW nameplate capacity.
