Description

The project is developed and owned by Gul Ahmed Wind Power.

The project generates 154,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 60,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $132m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in October 2016.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Transmission & Despatch under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

Descon Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Nordex was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 20 units of N100 (2.5 MW) turbines, each with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

Descon Engineering is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
