Description

The project is currently owned by Xcel Energy.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Markwest Powertex Oneok Westex.

The project generated 1,162,833MWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved

Siemens Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 2 units of Tandem Compound, Double Flow turbines, each with 243MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Energy supplied Hydrogen Cooled electric generator for the Jones Steam Turbine Power Station (Jones Steam Turbine Power Station Unit I).
