Description
The project is currently owned by Petroleos de Venezuela.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel.
The project generated 604,220MWh of electricity. The project cost is $604m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 2013.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Corporacion Electrica Nacional under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Sinohydro was selected to render EPC services for the dual-fuel fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Dual-Fuel fired project. The company provided 2 units of 7F.04 gas turbines, each with 160MW nameplate capacity.
