The project was developed by Tihama Power Generation and is currently owned by Engie with a stake of 60%.

It is a Gas Turbine with Cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from Saudi Arabian Oil Co.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Saudi Arabian Oil under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2006.

Arabian Bemco Contracting was selected to render EPC services for the Juaymah Cogeneration Plant (Juaymah Cogeneration Plant Unit III) project. Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the Juaymah Cogeneration Plant (Juaymah Cogeneration Plant Unit I) project. Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the Juaymah Cogeneration Plant (Juaymah Cogeneration Plant Unit II) project. Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the Juaymah Cogeneration Plant (Juaymah Cogeneration Plant Unit III) project.

Juaymah Cogeneration Plant (Juaymah Cogeneration Plant Unit I) is equipped with GE Power 7F.04 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 156MW nameplate capacity.

Juaymah Cogeneration Plant (Juaymah Cogeneration Plant Unit II) is equipped with GE Power 7F.04 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 156MW nameplate capacity.

Juaymah Cogeneration Plant (Juaymah Cogeneration Plant Unit III) is equipped with GE Power gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 186MW nameplate capacity.
