Description

The project is currently owned by NTPC with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Heavy Fuel Oil, Light Diesel Oil. The fuel is procured from Rajmahal Coal Fields of ECL.

The project generated 15,619,000MWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in January 1995.

Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam are the power offtakers from the project.
