The project is developed and owned by Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat.
Kajaki is a reservoir based project. Kajaki (Kajaki Unit-1, 3) underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2005; 2009.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 1975.
Contractors Involved
Kajaki (Kajaki Unit 2) is equipped with Sichuan Dongfeng Electric Machinery Works turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 18.5MW nameplate capacity.
Kajaki (Kajaki Unit-1, 3) is equipped with Voith Hydro Holding turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines, each with 16.5MW nameplate capacity.
Sichuan Dongfeng Electric Machinery Works and Westinghouse Electric have supplied 1 and 2 generators, respectively.
