Description

The project is being developed by Three Gorges New Energy Shandong Changyi Power Generation and is currently owned by China Three Gorges New Energy with a stake of 100%.

The project is expected to generate 175,000MWh electricity to offset 1,100,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The turbines will be mounted on fixed type foundations and will be interconnected by 35kV inter-array cable.

Shandong Changyi Laizhou Bay Offshore Wind Farm (Shandong Changyi Laizhou Bay Phase II) consists of 67 turbines with 6MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by December 2022.

Contractors involved

Shandong Changyi Laizhou Bay Offshore Wind Farm (Shandong Changyi Laizhou Bay Phase I) will be equipped with Goldwind Science & Technology turbines. The phase consists of 50 turbines, each with 6MW nameplate capacity.
