Description
The project is developed and owned by Karpowership. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Internal Combustion Plant (CCICP) power plant. The fuel is procured from Atuabo Ghana Gas Processing Plant.
The project cost is $786.526m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in November 2019.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Company of Ghana under a power purchase agreement for a period of 10 years from 2015. The contracted capacity is 450MW.
Contractors Involved
The Gas fired project have been supplied by Triveni Turbine and Wartsila.
