Karadobi is a 1,600MW hydro power project. It is planned on Blue Nile river/basin in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project is currently owned by Ministry of Water and Energy, Ethiopia.

Karadobi is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 40,200 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 181.4m and 116m respectively. The project is expected to generate 7,857 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $2,576m.

The hydro power project consists of 8 turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.
