Karthai-II is a 930MW hydro power project. It is planned on Chenab river/basin in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2027 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2031.

Karthai-II is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 51.26 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 232.08m and 225m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 3 in number. The penstock length will be 827m. The penstock diameter will be 5.25m. The project cost is expected to be around $1,323.985m.
