Kayonza Solar PV Park is an 11.2MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Eastern Province, Rwanda. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 20,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $20m.
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Energy, Water and Sanitation Authority under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.174kWh.
Gesto Energy is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project.
