Keljonlahti Biomass Power Plant is an 117.175MW biopower project. It is located in Central Finland, Finland. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in April 2010.

Description

The project is currently owned by Jyvaskylan Voima.

The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 1,070,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $658.388m.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

The project got commissioned in April 2010.

Contractors Involved

Sumitomo SHI FW Energia supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 590TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 565Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 164bar.
