Khoms Gas fired Power Plant is a 600MW oil fired power project. It is located in Murqub, Libya. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1995.

The project is currently owned by General Electricity Company Of Libya with a stake of 100%.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is light fuel oil. In case of shortage of light fuel oil the plant can also run on Natural Gas. The fuel is procured from Khoms-Tripoli pipeline.
The project got commissioned in 1995.
ABB was selected to render EPC services for the oil fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company supplied GT13E1 model gas turbines for the project.
GE Power supplied WY21L-097LLT electric generator for the project.
