Description
The project is currently owned by Union Electric.
It is a Gas Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America.
The project generated 1,492MWh of electricity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in April 2001.
Contractors Involved
Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 2 units of SGT6-3000E turbines, each with 135MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Energy supplied electric generator for the Kinmundy Power Plant (Kinmundy Power Plant Unit I).
Siemens Energy supplied electric generator for the Kinmundy Power Plant (Kinmundy Power Plant Unit II).
ProEnergy Services is the O&M contractor for thermal power project, commencing from the year 2006.
