The project is currently owned by SCA Packaging Munksund.
The project generates 115GWh of electricity.
Industrial waste and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in February 2002.
Contractors Involved
Siemens was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 1 turbine with 25MW nameplate capacity.
The steam boilers for the biopower project have been supplied by Neles and Sumitomo SHI FW Energia.
