Description
The project was developed by Canadian Solar Projects and is currently owned by Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund.
Kumamoto Mashiki Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 638,552.31 square meters.
The project generates 57,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 29,048t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $105.409m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in June 2017.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.32kWh for a period of 20.00 years, starting from 2017.
Contractors Involved
Maetel was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 149,958 modules at the site.
Canadian Solar O&M Japan is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
