KVK Power Yabo Solar PV Park, Nigeria

KVK Power Yabo Solar PV Park is a 55MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Sokoto, Nigeria. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2023.

Description

The project is being developed by Phanes Group and is currently owned by KVK Power Nigeria with a stake of 100%.

KVK Power Yabo Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 178 hectares.

The project cost is expected to be around $155.203m.

The solar power project consists of 60,000 modules, each with 250W nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading under a power purchase agreement from 2023. The offtake capacity is expected to be 55MW.

Contractors Involved

China Gezhouba Group is expected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
