The project was developed by Lackawanna Energy Center. AMP Capital Investors and Invenergy are currently owning the project.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel is procured from Marcellus Shale – Cabot Oil & Gas.

Kiewit Power Constructors was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of 1×1 MS 7HA.02 gas turbines, each with 384MW nameplate capacity.

John Cockerill Group supplied steam boiler for the project.
