Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in March 2005.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Essential Energy under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Vestas Australian Wind Technology was selected to render EPC services for the Lake Bonney (Lake Bonney Stage 1).

Lake Bonney (Lake Bonney Stage 1) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V66-1.75 MW turbines. The phase consists of 46 turbines with 1.75MW nameplate capacity.

Lake Bonney (Lake Bonney Stage 2) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V90-3.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 53 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Lake Bonney (Lake Bonney Stage 3) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V90-3.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 13 turbines with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Transfield Worley Services and Vestas Wind Systems were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.

The Lake Bonney (Lake Bonney Stage 2), consists of 80m high towers supplied by Keppel PrInce Engineering.
