Lesogorskaya is an 118MW hydro power project. It is located on Vuoksa river/basin in Leningrad, Russia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1934 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1937.

Description

Gazprom Energoholding and Fortum Power and Heat are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51.79% and 29.45% respectively.

Lesogorskaya underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2009-2013. The project generated 652.1 GWh of electricity.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Siburenergomanagement under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Power Machines was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of kaplan turbines, each with 29.5MW nameplate capacity.
