The project is currently owned by CEZ.
Lipno I is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 309 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 164m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number. The penstock length is 160m. The penstock diameter is 4.5m. Lipno I underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2012-2013.

Contractors Involved
CKD Blansko Holding was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 60MW nameplate capacity.
