Luime is a 330MW hydro power project. It is planned on Kwanza river/basin in Angola. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2023 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2026.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by COBA.

The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 185 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 43m. The project is expected to generate 1,500 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $610.517m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2026.
