Description
The project was developed by Guodian Diqing Shangri-la Limited Liability. China Energy Investment, Yunnan Dianneng (Group) Holding, Yunnan Investment Holding Group and Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Region Development Investment Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 35.06%, 26.32%, 20.62% and 18% respectively.
Luosiwan is a run-of-river project. The project generated 289 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $36.23m.
The project has 3 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 20 MVA.

The project construction commenced in 1996 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1999.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Kunming Electric Machine was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 20MW nameplate capacity.
