Description

The project is currently owned by GSR Sugars.

The project generates 75.73GWh electricity thereby offsetting 28,992t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $25.788m.

Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in May 2007.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
