Description

The project was developed by AGL Energy and Meridian Energy. AMP Capital Investors, Palisade Investment Partners and Atmos Renewables are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 25.1% and 24.9% respectively.

The project generates 1,240GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 181,000 households, offsetting 1,500,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 85m high towers.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to AGL Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years from 2013. The contracted capacity is 420MW.

Contractors involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 140 units of LTW80 - 1.8 (Leitwind Shriram) turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.

AGL Energy and Vestas Wind Systems were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
