The project is currently owned by Madhya Pradesh Power Generating.
Madhikhera is a reservoir based project. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The penstock length is 100m. The penstock diameter is 45.5m. The project generated 25.33 GWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved
Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 20MW nameplate capacity.
