Description

It is a Steam Turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation. The project underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during May 1995-Oct 1998.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in August 1975.

Malaya Thermal Power Plant (Malaya Thermal Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with Siemens Tandem-compound, reheat, condensing steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 300MW nameplate capacity.

Malaya Thermal Power Plant (Malaya Thermal Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power Tandem-compound, reheat, condensing steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 350MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens supplied electric generator for the Malaya Thermal Power Plant (Malaya Thermal Power Plant Unit I).

Mitsubishi Power supplied electric generator for the Malaya Thermal Power Plant (Malaya Thermal Power Plant Unit II).

Mitsubishi Power supplied steam boiler for the Malaya Thermal Power Plant (Malaya Thermal Power Plant Unit I).

Mitsubishi Power supplied steam boiler for the Malaya Thermal Power Plant (Malaya Thermal Power Plant Unit II).

Korea Electric Power, Soosan ENS and STX Marine Service were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
