The project was developed by Lenhydroproject and is currently owned by RusHydro with a stake of 100%.
Mamakanskaya is a reservoir based project. The net head of the project is 45m. The project generated 356 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $36.6m.

The power generated from the project is sold to Polyus Gold under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Ukrainian Energy Machines was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 units of kaplan turbines, each with 22.2MW nameplate capacity.
Electrosila supplied 4 electric generators for the project.
