The project is being developed and currently owned by Global Energy Generation.
Mammoth Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 12,000 acres.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 117,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $1,000m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the Mammoth Solar PV Park (Mammoth Solar Project 1) will be sold to AEP Energy under a power purchase agreement.
The power generated from the Mammoth Solar PV Park (Mammoth Solar Project 2 Phase I) will be sold to AEP Energy under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 360MW.
Contractors Involved
Risen Energy will be the supplier of the PV modules for the Mammoth Solar PV Park (Mammoth Solar Project 1). The company is expected to supply modules with rated capacity of 545W.
