Mampil is a 55MW hydro power project. It is located on Duqueco river/basin in Bio Bio, Chile. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2001.

Description
The project is co-owned by Energia Llaima and Innergex Renewable Energy, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
Mampil is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project is 117.7m. Mampil underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2012. The project generated 176.9 GWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in 2001.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Sistema Interconectado Central under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 27.5MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens supplied 2 electric generators for the project.
