The project is developed and owned by X-ELIO Energy.
Marcovia Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 252 hectares.
The project generates 93,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 45,000 households, offsetting 40,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $114.24m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in July 2015.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Empresa Nacional de Energia Electrica under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2015.
Contractors Involved
Grupo Ortiz was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Trina Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 136,720 modules each with 310W of nameplate capacity.
GPTech Spain supplied 1 of its PV500WD-INT-I inverters to the project site.
GPTech Spain supplied 46 of its PV750 WD UL inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by Solar Steel Gonvarri Industries.
Grupo Ortiz is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
