Mareeba Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 110 hectares.

The project is expected to generate 147,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 18,723 households. The project is expected to offset 121,171t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $78.48m.

The solar power project consists of 196,000 modules.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
