Marmora, Canada

Marmora is a 400MW hydro power project. It is planned in Ontario, Canada. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2024 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2027.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Northland Power. The company has a stake of 100%.

Marmora is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 30 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 140m. The project cost is expected to be around $900m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
