Description

The project was developed by Berkshire Hathaway Energy and RPMA Wind Development. The project is currently owned by Berkshire Hathaway Energy.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 36,000 households. The project cost is $131.095m.

The project has 95m high towers.

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in April 2016.

Power Purchase Agreement

City of Independence Power & Light Department, City of Independence, Missouri, Kansas Municipal Energy Agency, Kansas Power Pool and Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors Involved

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 36 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 20 years.
