Description
The project was developed by El Grupo Eolico Dominicano and is currently owned by InterEnergy Holdings.
The project generates 104GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $70m.
The project has 90m high towers.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Corporacion Dominicana de Empresas Electricas Estatales under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors Involved
Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 17 units of V90-1.8 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
