Mengdigou Hydropower Station, China

Mengdigou Hydropower Station is a 2,400MW hydro power project. It is planned on Yalong river/basin in Sichuan, China. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2031.

Description

The project is being developed by Yalongjiang Hydropower Development. Yalongjiang Hydropower Development and Sichuan Provincial Investment Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 52% and 48% respectively.

Mengdigou Hydropower Station is a run-of-river project.

The hydro power project consists of 4 turbines, each with 600MW nameplate capacity.

The project has 4 electric generators that will be installed at the project site.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2031.
