T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in Q1 2021 with 282 tenders and a 50.4% share, followed by Power Plant with 97 tenders and a 17.3% share and T&D Project with 88 tenders and a 15.7% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 54 tenders and a 61.4% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 23 tenders and a 26.1% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: 11 tenders and a 12.5% share.
Hydro is top technology for Middle East and Africa T&D project tenders in Q1 2021
Looking at T&D project tenders by the type of technology in the Middle East and Africa region, hydro accounted for four tenders with a 57.1% share, followed by solar with one tender and a 14.3% share and wind with one tender and a 14.3% share.
