Description

The project generates 100,000MWh of electricity.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Tires which is a kind of industrial waste is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Pacific Gas and Electric under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.083kWh.

Contractors Involved

Baumgarte Boiler Systems supplied steam boiler for the project. The boiler installed at the site has a capacity of 30TPH. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 500Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 67bar.
