Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewables Canada. The project is co-owned by EDF Renewables Canada and MD1 Wind, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 15,000 households. The project cost is $132.167m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2015.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hydro-Quebec under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

Construction Energie Renouvelable was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Mont-Rothery Wind Farm (Mont-Rothery Wind Farm phase I) is equipped with Senvion MM82 turbines. The phase consists of 16 turbines with 2.05MW nameplate capacity.

Mont-Rothery Wind Farm (Mont-Rothery Wind Farm phase II) is equipped with Senvion MM92 turbines. The phase consists of 21 turbines with 2.05MW nameplate capacity.

EDF Renewable Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
