Description

The project was developed by Mt Millar Wind Farm, Novera Energy and Wind Prospect. The project is currently owned by Meridian Energy with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 214,620MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 35,069 households, offsetting 180,281t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $133.07m.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2004 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2006.

Contractors Involved

Enercon was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 35 units of E-70 turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
