The project is currently owned by PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali with a stake of 100%.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel is procured from PT Nusantara Regas BP Berau Ltd. (Tangguh Gas Field).

Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 2 units of TCDF turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.
