Description

The project was developed by Mumbida Wind Farm and Synergy. The project is currently owned by Foresight Group with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 137,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 35,000 households, offsetting 165,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Water under a power purchase agreement from 2013. The contracted capacity is 55MW.

Contractors involved

CPB Contractors and General Electric were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 22 units of 2.5-100 turbines, each with 2.5MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2013, for a period of 10 years.
