Muratli is an 115MW hydro power project. It is located on Coruh river/basin in Artvin, Turkey. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1999 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2005.

Description

The project was developed by Yuksel Insaat and is currently owned by Devlet su Isleri Genel Mudurlugu.

Muratli is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 74.8 million cubic meter. The project generated 445 GWh of electricity.

The project has 2 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 64 MVA.

Contractors Involved

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 57.5MW nameplate capacity.
