Description
The project is being developed by SEW Nafra Power and is currently owned by SEW Energy.
Nafra is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 5.267 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project will be 184.4m and 173.31m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 2 in number. The penstock length will be 486m. The penstock diameter will be 3m. The project is expected to generate 480.7 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $123.959m.
The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 60MW nameplate capacity.
The project has 2 electric generators that will be installed at the project site.
