Description

The project was developed by Nagashima Wind Hill and is currently owned by Kyushu Electric Power.

The project generates 100,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 30,000 households, offsetting 40,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $156.845m.

Contractors Involved

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 21 turbines, each with 2.4MW nameplate capacity.
