Nakthan is a run-of-river project. The gross head and net head of the project will be 696.08m and 676.7m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 4 in number. The penstock length will be 1,848.38m. The penstock diameter will be 4.2m. The project is expected to generate 1,535.11 GWh of electricity.
